A.S.G. Rules and Regulations - generally accepted by the international airsoft community.
INSTRUCTIONS
  • Airsoft is a military and sporting team game.
  • For someone to participate in the game, he has to be mentally stable, aged 16 or over and accept the Rules of the game.
OBJECTIVES
  • In the game there may participate two or more teams, armed and equipped in accordance with the Game Rules.
  • The game is run according to a pre-settled scenario, and is played upon a delimited field. The objectives, goals and duration of the game, the battlefield’s boundaries are settled before the game starts, by the rules of each scenario and the teams participating in the game.
  • The playing field does not encompass the teams’ campus. The game rules prohibit the placement of the campus near the fighting zone, or in any other location where it could affect the normal running of the game.
  • Team’s objective is to complete the task imposed by the scenario.
  • The white flag serves to designate a team that surrendered or a part of it or it’s an attribute of the parliamentarian player (the negotiator).
  • The running of the game, the completion of the task, the compliance with the Game Rules will be verified by a neutral person, named for the purpose by the participating teams. Referee’s decisions are based on the game regulations, shall be applied fairly and across-the-board and cannot be put into discussion while the game is running.
  • The game is based on the common sense and honesty of each participant. No divergence is allowed to occur between players while the game is running. The players that start arguing during the game shall leave the combat zone and be asked to continue their dispute outside the playing field.
GUNS
  • Weapons: the game allows the use of pneumatic weapons (of plastic or light alloys) only, designed for industrial production, which are sold without restrictions and are adapted to fire 6 mm plastic Airsoft BB pallets.
  •  As cold steel weapons, the game allows the use of plastic or duralumin replicas only, with no sharp surfaces or cutting edges. The imitation of cold steel weapons has to be done and applied in accordance with all security measures and has to exclude any possibility of getting injured.
CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT
  • The game allows the players to use any military-style clothing and equipment from those existing on the market or specially-manufactured for this purpose.
  • All the members of the teams have to use distinguishing marks, in order to be easy to identify from what team they are coming.
  • Civilian clothing is not allowed, in order to avoid any confusion with true civilians who might find themselves on the battlefield or close to it.
  • It is compulsory to wear proper safety equipment during the game. Responsibility for any injury that a player might suffer is carried by the player who failed to respect this rule.
ELIMINATED / ‘DEAD’ PLAYERS
  • It will be considered eliminated a player that was hit at list once by a pellet in any part of his body or equipment. The ricochet will not be taken into consideration, nor a hit in a player’s weapon. If a player gets hit by mistake by one of his teammates, the hit shall be taken into consideration.
  • The player touched by another player in the head, neck or body with a cold steel weapon is considered eliminated from the game.
  • The eliminated player must put a red band around his head or neck and go to the specially arranged place settled before the game started.
  • The eliminated player cannot give his gun or ammunition to the still-active players, nor talk to the other players (except to those eliminated), or give the others information that he may have about the enemy or the running of the game.
CAPTURED PLAYERS
  • Any player can get captured.
  • The captured players can be interrogated. If a captured player answers three questions correctly, he can no longer be executed, but must be freed, with weapons and ammo. It is prohibited to keep a player in captivity for more than an hour. If the captured player was "executed", then he is forbidden to transmit to active teammates data about the opponent team that he obtained while he was kept in captivity.
  • The freed player cannot be attacked until he reaches his teammates area.
NON-COMBATANT PLAYERS
  • The persons that are to be considered as non-combatants are: the bystanders, camera operators, mediators etc.
  • The players (regardless of the team from which they come) that leave the game in order to solve a problem must put a red band around his head or neck. If they don’t wear it, the entire responsibility for any injury that the player might suffer shall be carried by the player that failed to respect this rule.
  • Players must treat bystanders or the persons who find themselves on the battlefield area or near it politely. In the event of a conflict situation, it is strictly prohibited to use violence in order to solve the problem.
RESTRICTIONS
  • It is prohibited to participate in the game without safety equipment.
  • It is prohibited to fire at players wearing a red band, at persons not participating in the game (bystanders etc.), as well as at animals.
  • It is prohibited that the players clarify a misunderstanding during the game on the perimeter of the battlefield.
  • Intoxicated persons are prohibited to participate in the game.
PLAYER’S LIABILITY
  • If a player fails to respect the rulesof the game, mainly if he is caught cheating, he may be admonished by the other players and, in some cases, even eliminated from the game.
